The Beastie Boys, diagrammed.

When I was a scurrilous teen, I was on vacation with my family in Provincetown, MA. I have always enjoyed taking strange gambles on things, so I opted to spend some of what little money I had on a CD because it had a mental-looking chubby man on the front. It was Frank Black’s “Teenager of the Year” and it wound up being one of my favorite albums of all time. Weird design works on me every time.
I did not make any kind of connection with the Pixies until almost ten years later when Sam Brown and I drove cross-country to San Diego Comicon and we listened almost exclusively to the Pixies. I burned those albums into my head as I experienced the desert for the first time. It was a pretty good trip, for the world before iPhones.
A small but statistically significant percentage of pugs are created from “null matter,” which behaves more or less like regular matter, but has the property of being gravity-blind, in that gravity just doesn’t seem to notice it’s there. This has implications for the Grand Unified Theory that nobody wants to look at head-on just yet.

Revenge of the sexy nerd gift guide: I’ve just restocked my Pixel Canada shirts and now am craving maple. Please pass it on and thanks in advance!
Dogs are the best. Take the humans first.
This is reblogged from Neil Gaiman. I can’t do a native reblog because it was a question post, so I’m reformatting it here to make it easier for all of us to spread this around and effect a change:

I’m going to play gift guide a little bit this week. Here’s the perfect t-shirt for the old-skool Mac user in your life who survived the 90s.
Even if you don’t want one or already have one, you can really help me out by reblogging it. Thanks!
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by Krampus.
It’s always Clobberin’ Time somewhere! Love this photo. Wish I hadn’t had to discontinue this design. This dude is a perfect Ben Grimm.

(Limited edition shirt from the brilliant R. Stevens. He’s not making these right now but he has about a million other things that are as cool if not cooler. Plus he makes webcomics for your eyes and brain for free. Go there now!)
